Meet Our Management

Why Choose Pak Mail?

I want to thank you for your interest into a Pak Mail franchise. You have now taken the first step into becoming your own boss and the exciting world of being in business for yourself.

My wife Marty and I first started PostalAnnex in 1985 out of necessity. At the time, I was running a consulting business out of my home. Having the problem of never finding the business services I needed, I figured the time was right to start a company which offered a one-stop shopping solution for small and home-based business. Over thirty years later, I am very proud of the business we have grown into. At Pak Mail we offer our customers convenience, exceptional service and to be their problem solver. We train our franchisees to be experts at what they do; we are all here to serve our customers.

I realize in looking into businesses there are many choices. As we have grown over the years, our goal at Annex Brands was never to be the biggest, but always to be the best. The service we strive to give our customers is the same service we give in support of our Pak Mail franchise owners.

As you review the following pages, I trust you will begin to share our enthusiasm and commitment to this industry, our customers and our franchise owners. I look forward to meeting you and for you to join the Pak Mail family.

Jack Lentz
Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer

Jack Lentz, CEO, Annex BrandsJack Lentz founded PostalAnnex+ with three stores, opening in the summer of 1985. One year later, Jack learned about franchising and started the PostalAnnex franchise system.

After graduating from college, Jack's first career (12 years) was in the newspaper business. He later owned a business magazine and spent years in the printing business. During this period, he attended law school at night and received his law degree in 1969.

After a short retirement, he and his wife, Marty, started another printing company. Shortly thereafter, Marty took over the business, and Jack became president of a title insurance company.

Trying to retire once again, Jack found his expertise needed by friends, this time working as a business consultant. Working out of his home, Jack realized the need for mailing, faxing, copying, shipping and other services to belong under one roof. As a result, he created the first PostalAnnex store, located next door to a post office in the University City neighborhood of San Diego, California.

Today, Jack continues as Chairman and CEO of Annex Brands, Inc., the franchisor of PostalAnnex and Pak Mail as well as having served or serving as a board member and trustee for several philanthropic organizations.
