These days, everything seems to take place at breakneck speed. Email, text messages, Skype, and Siri have created a culture where the answer is at your fingertips twenty-four hours a day. Unfortunately, some tasks are rooted in tradition and still require some human interaction. For example, passport applications for minors require a signature and notarization from any parent who cannot be present. Or, sworn financial statements for legal proceedings require notarization to validate the document’s authenticity.

According to our team’s research and other sources, there are only two major domestic airlines that do not charge fees for checked baggage. Baggage fees for the first checked bag now range anywhere from $15 - $45, with second bags costing an additional $15 - $55. Most international airlines do not charge for the first checked bag, but the second checked bag can cost as much as $230. Keep in mind that these fees are charged each way on your trip, so traveling with your luggage can be a lot more expensive than just a plane ticket.

  In 1999, Congress designated May as Military Appreciation Month. May is full of days commemorating and celebrating the achievements of the United States military, most notably Memorial Day. The goal of National Military Appreciation Month is to gather Americans around their military family to honor, remember, and appreciate the men and women who have served and are currently serving. Showing deployed military that they are not forgotten can be hard to do, especially when it’s across several continents.

Peters, who opened a Pak Mail over a decade ago in 2003, tells the story of how he was drafted after graduating from the University of Arizona, sold all kinds of things online with Ebay, and eventually opened a Pak Mail location.

Last week we celebrated the 43rd Earth Day. First celebrated on April 22, 1970, the day has grown into a worldwide celebration of our planet. Packing and shipping stalwart Pak Mail Centers of America has decided to ramp up its marketing and advertising efforts by hiring a celebrity spokesperson. After mulling over dozens of options, the company decided to hire arcade video game legend Pac-Man.

“We just felt it was the most logical option,” said marketing coordinator Seth Sinclair. “Who doesn’t love Pac-Man? We want to pick up a larger demographic of customers. There’s no more timeless celebrity than Pac-Man.”
